Zeya advised ERGO on the structure and implementation of the action plan on the data protection issues arising from the merger of ATE Insurance and Ergo Life by means of their absorption by Ergo General. Our advice included the transfer of several databases previously owned by the absorbed companies containing, among others, sensitive data of policyholders and insureds. We also advised on the granting of necessary permits by the DPA, we conducted the regulatory filings with the DPA and drafted the various information notices to insureds, insurance intermediaries and other third parties in this respect.
