Mary Deligianni, senior associate and member of our data protection & cybersecurity practice, participated in the 40th International Conference of Data Protection and Privacy Commissioners, which took place in Brussels from 23 to 25 October 2018. The conference, which is widely recognized as the premier global forum on privacy and data protection, provides a unique opportunity for privacy lawyers to interact and exchange opinions with the data protection authorities, IT experts and businesses from around the globe. This year’s event, which was hosted by the European Data Protection Supervisor inside the European Parliament, focused on the ethical responsibility of stakeholders (businesses, regulators and government) and the privacy community at large in the context of processing of personal data in the era of digitalization, big data and Artificial Intelligence.
