Zepos and Yannopoulos is proud to have advised Data4 Group, a leading European Data Centre operator, in a challenging transaction, which marks the opening of a new market for Data4 in Europe. The innovative and sustainable campus will be developed in a plot of land of 75,000sq.m (7.5 hectares) and offer up to 90 MW of power capacity. With the ever-growing demand for cloud services, the circa 300M investment underscores Greece’s pivotal role in becoming a regional technology hub.
From the early stages of the negotiations for the land acquisition, the set-up of the Greek entity and the final purchase of the land until the successful issuance of the building permit, our firm guided the client through the Greek market and advised on all real estate, corporate and regulatory permitting issues.
Our team was led by Sonia Melegou, head of Real Estate, and Sofia Chatzigiannidou, head of Public Procurement and Concessions, assisted by Nikos Koukos, senior associate and associates George Louizos and Charis Simopoulos. Mary Georgiou, senior associate, led the due diligence side of the transaction, while advisory on corporate law matters was led by Athina Skolarikou, head of Corporate & Commercial, and Marilisa Myrat, senior associate, and supported by Evgenia Psoma, associate.
