Zepos & Yannopoulos advised Alantra Corporate Portfolio Advisors International Limited and Mediobanca –Banca di Credito Finanziario S.p.A as Arrangers and CITIBANK, N.A., LONDON BRANCH as Security Trustee, Paying Agent, Cash Manager and Account Bank in the €7.5 billion multi-asset NPE Securitization of Eurobank Ergasias (Project Cairo).
The transaction consists of three (3) securitisations of a highly diversified multicurrency asset base and is the first to apply for a Greek state guarantee under the recent asset protection scheme “Hercules”. Our work, which covered an array of issues from portfolio due diligence to transaction document review, focused particularly on HAPS considerations both structural and practical, pending the issuance of secondary legislation or guidance on HAPS law implementation.
