Zepos & Yannopoulos proudly supported for fifth consecutive year the 5th EUROPA Moot Court Competition that took place at magnificent “Imaret” and the ancient city of Philippi, Kavala, Greece, from Friday 30 March until Tuesday 3 April 2018, on the hot topic of the limits of the “right to be forgotten” within the regime of the newly introduced GDPR.
Teams from eight law schools participated in the competition and pursued very high standards in terms of legal reasoning and delivery. Special congratulations should be given to the team from Nova University of Lisbon, coached by Professor Francisco Pereira Coutinho, which won the first place in the Grand Final presided by the President of the European Court of Justice from 2003 to 2015, Prof. Vasileios Skouris and the Court General Advocate Prof. Melchior Wathelet. The teams from IE University of Madrid and the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki took the second and the third places respectively, boasting great performances, too.
Zepos & Yannopoulos cordially congratulates all participants, thanks the organisers and especially Paschalis Paschalidis for his great work and commits to staying tuned for next year!
