Dr. George Siganidis is a partner of our corporate commercial practice. He was admitted to the Thessaloniki Bar in 1992 and to the Athens Bar in 1999. He joined our firm in 2008.
George focuses on commercial, corporate, securities, IT and telecoms law, including dispute resolution. George has extensive experience in advising multinational corporations and Greek listed companies on a wide array of corporate and commercial issues. He has been engaged in the structuring and implementation of numerous M&A’s and other corporate restructurings, including drafting and negotiating share purchase and shareholders’ agreements, as well as take-over bids. His dispute resolution experience concentrates in corporate, securities and insolvency law disputes and arbitration, while he has also handled numerous public procurement litigation cases in the IT sector.
Prior to joining our firm, George served from 2005 to 2008 as in-house General Counsel of a major Greek IT integrator and telecom services provider.
George was a German Academic Exchange Scholar (DAAD) during the time of his doctoral dissertation in Tuebingen/Germany (1992 through 1996). In the years 2000 – 2001 he participated in the Legislative Committee for the Greek Corporate Governance Bill. In the year 2003 George prepared for the Government of Cyprus the first draft of a bill on the reorganization and winding up of insurance undertakings.
George is admitted before the Supreme Court and works in Greek, German and English.
