Tax and administrative law
Retired Council of State Judge Iraklis Tsakopoulos is of counsel in our tax practice. He joined our firm in 2018, after having served the Council of State (Supreme Administrative Court) for more than thirty years, the last nine of which, as a Councilor of State (Conseiller d’ Etat).
During his career Iraklis acquired extensive experience in both constitutional and administrative law over a vast array of legal fields, including tax law; tax and administrative procedures law; public procurement law; investment, business and professions licensing regulations; radio and television law as well as interim remedies and precautionary measures issues.
As a member of the Court he had been part of numerous administrative, legislative and judicial committees and councils, such as the drafting committee for the Code of Administrative Procedures, the Miscarriages of Justice Court and the Disciplinary Council of the Council of State. He also taught in various seminars organized by the Council of State, the National School of Judges and the Athens Bar Association.
Iraklis is admitted before the Supreme Court and works in Greek, French and English.
