Julia Pournara is a partner of our corporate commercial practice. She was admitted to the Athens Bar in 1994 and joined our firm in 2006.
Julia focuses on corporate, commercial, anti-trust, and healthcare law. She has extensive experience in corporate practice, advising domestic and multinational corporations on issues ranging from the establishment of a legal entity, through all aspects of its evolution and operation, including general corporate matters, regulatory and competition issues.
She regularly advises international and domestic clients on international business transactions, including share and asset deals, joint ventures, corporate reorganizations and mergers and spin-offs. Her practice in distribution and other commercial contracts encompasses all issues pertinent to the negotiation, formation and development of relevant co-operations.
She has extensive experience in all areas of Greek and EU anti-trust law matters, defending clients’ interests in response to complaints before the Hellenic Competition Commission (HCC). She has advised domestic and multinational clients on a broad range of matters relating to abuse of market dominance and related restrictive practices and to the antitrust implications of horizontal and vertical commercial agreements, such as joint ventures, distribution and licensing agreements. She has worked with multinational clients active in the healthcare sector and advised them on a wide range of regulatory, corporate and commercial issues. She has advised leading companies as to regulations, standards and codes of practice relating to marketing and promotion of pharmaceutical products and medical devices.
Julia is admitted before the Court of First Instance and works in Greek, English and French.
