Mary Deligianni is a member of our corporate commercial practice. She joined our firm in 2003 and was admitted to the Piraeus Bar in 2004. 

Mary is very experienced in handling corporate needs of our clients dealing with various issues relating to their daily operation, drafting of various types of commercial contracts and resolving disputes, in litigation and out-of-court. She has an in-depth specialisation on data protection, information technology and e-commerce issues. 

In particular, as regards data protection, Mary has developed significant expertise and has considerably contributed to the development of our firm’s unique data protection practice. Her advice pertains to novel and complex issues which include cloud-computing, connected devices, biometric databases, internal investigations, direct marketing strategies, while she often interacts on issues of regulatory practice with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority. 

Among others, she regularly conducts data protection due diligence assessments, advises on legal aspects of cyber protection and on data breach reporting requirements, develops data transfer strategies, drafts privacy impact assessments, privacy policies and data processing agreements, advises on the operation of whistleblowing schemes, the processing of sensitive industry-specific data, interception of communications, use of cookies, employment-related matters and data transfers.

Mary participates as a contributor in Eurocloud, a non-profit organisation that delivers legal orientation and best practices on cloud computing and data protection issues. She is the co-author of the Greek chapter of the Lex Mundi Global Data Privacy Guide. She has participated as a speaker in data protection conferences and regularly joins the International Conference of Data Protection and Privacy Commissioners.

Mary is admitted before the Court of Appeals and works in Greek and English.
