During 2019, keeping up with the booming real estate industry in Greece, Zepos & Yannopoulos represented leading real estate investor in the Greek market, ZOIA, in the acquisition of 16 real estate properties in the centre of Athens. Following 10 acquisitions in 2018, the 27M Euro deals completed during 2019, involved the acquisition of 18 multi-story buildings. Our growing real estate group, headed by partners Sonia Melegou and Marina Allamani, supported ZOIA from the early stages of the negotiation phase to the conclusion of the acquisition, including drafting of transactional documents, due diligence of the properties, review of town planning issues, advising on regulatory matters (tourism, short term leases, student housing) as well as on all tax issues relative to the structuring of the investments, the acquisitions and the exploitation thereof.
