Zepos & Yannopoulos acted as the local counsel for Nabtesco Corporation, the Japanese leading engineering company, listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, specializing in gearboxes, rail and aviation automation and industrial robotics, for the acquisition of the company DeepSea Technologies Ltd. DeepSea is a startup in the maritime technology, with offices in Cyprus and headquartered in Athens, focusing in vessel performance monitoring and AI optimization. This decision will support Nabtesco’s move towards the development of autonomous vessels and other AI applications in its business sectors.
Our team acted for the purchaser on all aspects of the transaction, including conduct of legal due diligence, drafting & negotiation of share purchase agreements and all other transaction documents, coordinating the parties involved (founders, investors, shareholders) and workstreams, as well as transition matters, cooperating throughout closely with Tassos Papadopoulos regarding Cypriot law matters of the project.
