Zepos & Yannopoulos advised Mohegan Gaming and Entertainment, in its successful participation in the International Tender for the Concession of a wide-range activities casino operating license in the Hellinikon – Ag. Kosmas Metropolitan Pole. Following completion of the year-long review procedure and the final closure of the much-debated litigation stage, “INSPIRE ATHENS” Consortium, comprised of two Mohegan group entities and local partner GEK TERNA SA, was recently declared provisional contractor by the Hellenic Gaming Commission. Consortium Members have already duly submitted the provisional contractor documentation, currently under review by the Hellenic Gaming Commission. Final award and execution of the concession contract are expected by the end of the calendar year. Our firm advised on the tender requirements and participation scheme with strategic local partner GEK TERNA S.A., guiding the client through the whole tender process and having exclusive responsibility for the preparation of the bid file and provisional award documentation. Zepos & Yannopoulos also advised on the terms of license concession and land rights agreements, corporate and tax structuring, regulatory implications and strategic planning.
